The England Woodland Creation Offer has been created to support woodland creation and tree planting for landowners and tenants on an area as small as one hectare
Purpose | This funding is made up of a range of support offers from The Forestry Commission which can help to increase land value and generate income for the landowner, as well as provide positive environmental outcomes such as greater habitat creation and natural flood management |
Criteria | The land must be: – in England – under the full management of the applicant – not already classified as woodland For full eligibility criteria click here |
Funding Levels | You could receive up to £10,200 per hectare, plus up to a further £8,000 in Additional Contributions for public benefits, to support your woodland creation scheme |
Notable Information | It is recommended that you consider applying for a Woodland Creation Planning Grant prior to the EWCO scheme if your proposal will be five hectares or more in size |
How to Apply | Contact your local Woodland Creation Officer as early as possible, and they will provide guidance as you begin to make your application |
